yellow hummingbird in Michigan?

My mother-in-law said she saw what she thought was a yellow hummingbird. We live in SW Michigan, near the border Indiana. Finches are not over … (we have gold finches, but she swears that hung in his Impatiens), but I've only seen the ruby and Hummingbirds emerald throat here.
