Does the standard travel insurance cover independently booked holidays?
My husband and I have booked a private villa in the Canary Islands and book our flights and car hire separately – would still be my standard travel insurance (ie esure.com) or need a deck especially to cover all individual components of the trip?
Yes standard insurance will cover you. I'm not aware of any policy that I had made a distinction between the holidays and helped arrange the trip independently. The vast majority of my trip is independently organized by myself.
