Toy Bird

I have a backyard bird only in spring that sounds like a dogs squeaky toy. I live in the oaks and maples.?

It sings all day long like this. Early in the morning before the chickadees start til just before dark.

It might be an Eastern Phoebe bird – sounds like ‘Pheeee- bee’.

I have a dog named Phoebe, and it used to drive me crazy, I kept thinking I heard someone calling my dog.

I have them nesting on my porch yearly, they nest in the Spring and Summer. I love them, they eat flying insects. They are very pretty too.
