Caring for Your Macaw

Macaws are exquisite looking creatures. These large parrots make wonderful pets for the right people. They are incredibly intelligent and beautiful birds. An ideal owner must be willing to dedicate hours and hours every week to the care of their pet Macaw. If you’re ready for the responsibility, you will have a wonderful companion for up to fifty years. Follow my tips and your new Macaw will be healthy and happy.

Before bringing your Macaw home, make sure that you have high quality bird cage for him or her. These are large birds, so they require large bird cages. Full grown Macaws have a wing span of about 3 feet, and you will want to purchase a cage that will allow them to fully stretch their wings out.
Once you’ve brought your Macaw home, be sure to start a feeding schedule right away. You will need to provide your parrot with copious amounts of fresh vegetables and fruits. Organic fruits and vegetables are the best choice because they are not grown with potentially harmful pesticides and additives. Cuttlebone should also be placed in your Macaw’s cage to aid in his or her digestion. Your Macaw should be fed daily at the same time. And make sure to provide your bird with plenty of fresh clean water daily. If you can, encourage him or her to drink from a water bottle rather than a dish. It’s a more sanitary choice.
In addition to proper housing, food and water, your Macaw also requires a lot of attention and social interaction. Macaws are very social birds and they can learn to talk if you work with them on a daily basis. You should spend at least an hour every day playing with your Macaw. Also provide him or her with plenty of toys for entertainment when you aren’t around. When bored, Macaws are known to revert to maladaptive behaviors such as pulling at their feathers, so keep an eye out for this.

Why do you want a cage acylic? Is the factor of looking? The comments I have heard is that they have trend lines while cleaning and panels for fog when wet. I never could see how one of these cages is less work to be well

What is the best food for Singing Green Finch?

I'm thinking of getting the Green Singing Finches, have the cage now. Different sources have different take on this, but some recommend seed mixtures of finches and some say birdseed mixes are better. Which is better? I know it's prolly better to buy their seeds Wholesale and mixing them itself, but you have not yet found a good place and I am not knowledgeable about the different types of seeds. Also will take any other advice on these finches (I'm a beginner), here is the cage that I have (model L01 30X15X21): You http://www.hagen.com/pdf/birds/VisionII-UK.pdf obviusly cage did not understand what I bought, I did my research – my cage is as wide and taller than it is showing.

I hope I can return the cage, because the finches you need something more spacious and slightly wider than tall. Finches enjoy flying around their cages and need lots of space to be comfortable. Here is an example of a good finch cage: http://www.avianweb.com/budgiecages.html The first cage of birds on the page, the Aviary Bird Cage, is an example of what I am speaking. Finches do not know how you intend to stay, but bigger is always better. I recommend giving the green singing finches canary both and finch seed mixtures. Also, give them some food song as containing niger seed, poppy, or rape. Other foods that are green finches of the songs are pellets, millet, sprouted seeds soaked, pureed mixture, egg, cuttlebone, fruits and vegetables. You can eat worms flour, too.

Dealing with noisy parrots

Parrots are noisy birds and whether they have taken the decision to keep a parrot, you have to learn to adapt to the sounds squeaky they do. Yes you can speak beautiful words and entertain. what kind of food I can feed my parakeet?

my parakeet is getting tired of lettuce and celery. Is there any other fruit / food you like it?

i hope that not only fed him lettuce and celery!
