Question for people living in New York?

Hello people. I am an aspiring singer from 22 years of age. I have been formally training voices for the last 3 years and my goal in life is to be a salsa singer Hector Lavoe is my idol. But I live in Holland, so there are not many opportunities here to earn life with that. So it's my dream to go to New York in 2 years and begins to sing with orchestras in the salsa clubs and stuff. I've never been to New York, but I know that many good musicians, like the Fania All Stars in the 70's and 80's was established in New York, is why I want to go there. So my question is: "There are still many salsa clubs in New York? (Like the red parrot?). Salsa scene is still alive in New York? Is it worthwhile for me to settle there so I can continue my passion and livelihood Greetings to become a musician?.

THERE salsa clubs in New York, very few, but compared to other cities that are known for their Spanish speaking nationalities concentrated, such as Miami, Los Angeles and San Diego, profits are weak. That does not mean that there is a large population Spanish-speaking nationalities here in New York – there certainly is – but in terms of an ethnic majority, who are best to go to Florida or California if you want access a very good salsa clubs. In that sense, there are few salsa clubs in Brooklyn, to my knowledge, one in Canarsie, one in the heights. I've never been anywhere in Manhattan, but certainly are there, too. I believe sincerely that more classes taught here that the host club – or can salsa "night" (where normally no salsa club hosts one night of the month or week in which only plays salsa music and dance). I really would have to reach for the millions of options. But, honestly, which certainly can start a career here – or in any big city for that matter. When I was in Boston, Mass., went to a salsa club – are certainly in demand in the States U.S., but maybe just need more talent to go along with it! Good luck!
