You'll need some important parrot accessories in place before you bring your new winged friend home. Parrots are highly intelligent birds and require lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep them happy and well adjusted. The first thing you'll need in the way of accessories is a large cage. Parrots are bigger than your average pet bird and so require a cage that's big enough for them to move around in with ease. Gyms will give your bird the opportunity to exercise in or out of the cage, while cage covers will help him to sleep at night. Most birds, regardless of their species, love tents that they can snuggle into at night (the enclosed space makes them feel secure). Parrots need to bathe frequently, so you could also accessorize with a perch made just for the shower. This way, the two of you can bathe together from time to time.
