Meal worms Quaker parrots?
No parrots, like the parrot enjoy insects and worms on the variety of food and protein? Thanks for its input.I know they can be carnivores. What is there in nature?
You can try mealworms, but I've never known a bird to really enjoy them. You have to be careful with mealworms. If you feed them live and the bird swallows everything there is a slight chance of eating the worm through the harvest birds. Its rare but it happens. I would suggest giving your bird egg with the shell or cooked chicken for protein. The other advantage to eggs or chicken is used to shuffle outside the cage!
