Should I take my parakeet to the vet?

My six year old parakeet has been in a comfortable environment throughout the day, but she still had all its feathers, hollow, and when replenished food and water (I went to work and returned about three hours later) When I returned she was almost foaming at the mouth and had been vomiting the food and continued for the next hours and now every 20 minutes or so it seems as if something arcades. my aunt has owned many birds and think my parakeet may be sick and should take to vet.but not know if their symptoms are simply due to overeating or not.

Your bird is sick. Vet ASAP!
