Help parakeet?

I was looking to buy a parrot from a local pet store (mostly from his fish shop, but also sells birds and mice, rats, snakes, lizards) and I saw one with a sign "free. Looking closer, I saw a pattern of scar tissue around both eyes. I never hug him, but apart from that looked good, was Bobingen up and down, back and forth on the perch, and other normal things. I'd love to have, but need to know what is wrong with him first! Thanks!

What this is scaleY flu has infected mites. The pet store will tell you what to put in it. It is curable. I use Vaseline on it. I apply a good coat to all areas scaly legs and feet. Just keep applying it daily to all areas are smooth. If you have a lot of money you can take to the vet. However, the veterinarian will do something similar to what I would do my parakeets if the situation is raised in my aviary.
