parakeet eyes
What can we do for our sick parakeet is breathing hard and scratches his head a lot?

Our parrot ruffles feathers a lot, has a queue of falls and scratches around his eyes, looking up blood. She whisltes breathing. Help!

Well, long before he went directly to a veterinarian if you have more a bird and has a picture of mites (mites are sort of like fleas, but for birds, which can be contracted out, or being around other birds. mites can be transmitted to humans and other pets. mite is a good round or square table that has small holes in it with a special repellent. You give the box outside the cage with the holes in the front, that way the bird repellent comes to fast.) That could be the reason for scratching. Or, it could be because feathers is mute. By respiration could be that you have a medical condition and the dose needed veterinary aid, but try this: if you have more than a bird in same cage, or possibly in the same room, and then try to take the bird away from others, and maybe it will calm your self down and not feel threatened. If there are multiple birds, then I think you should see a vet for respiratory problems. I hope I have helped, if they worsen, consult a veterinarian. Also I hope your bird gets better. :) ~ Lyrics ~
