parakeet diets

I have a white parakeet, about a year. I think it's a male. When I bought it, they told me to supplement their diet with fruit seeds, nuts or vegetables. However, I have tried several different things my parakeet will not eat anything, but its seed. Any suggestions?

Do not force your bird to eat, leave it there. Other foods will eventually reward of interest. Also try putting food in their mouths, saying things like "delicious" or "mmm this is good food! Australian Parakeet mimmic by what you'll get your attention if you are "eating" too. Remember, do not force you to eat, or put it to its peak or against, this will make your bird do not. Try the same type of food each day for about a week, and if you have not eat, try something else. Keets love lettuce, and its great because they have plenty of water! You may want to start with that first!
