how offten does it take to clean a parakeet cage?

im gettin a parakeet and how many times you hav to clean .. once a week? or clean poop / daily newspaper the day? plz help and thanks

HI, Daily you should change the paper in the tray at the bottom of the cage. You should also wash their food or water dishes in hot water and soap. Weekly hangers must be removed, swings and toys to clean with hot soapy water. Remove the bottom tray and wash the debris out of it. Check toys for broken parts as well. Monthly you should remove the box and glue the pieces in the bath and rinse well. I hope I helped!
