My zebra finches will not eat their food?

I have two zebra finches and I have given egg and biscuit dough and a few mealworms. But they have not done any attempt to eat good food. I left the meal of eggs there for a day or two, or even have nibbled on it. Can not you like? And what else could I feed them?
