Green Cheek Conure questions?

So I'm thinking of getting a green cheeck Conure. Mom said it was okay. Ive had parakeets and finches. I wont be getting the bird for a while so I have time to study. I am fully aware of the time and effort they require. So my questions are: Is there a Green Cheek Conure for dummies book? What are good books I can get to the library? What size cage is good? I havent been able to to find the line size. I heard a big cage Cockatiel is good. And you have these funky little birds …. How attention is given his day? How much travel and what you do with your bird when you're gone? And I'd like to hear about your Conures so please tell me about them:)

I recently received one of cages that I have is 19W x 19d x 24h and was told that this was more than big enough. I had a book but I found a website that had a lot of information on them. http://members.tripod.com/gcch/faq.html They had a lot of interesting information and some great ideas. Mine is a little, but is improving with Nippy work, and yes it will hurt if you get bit and can draw blood, just to warn you. open the first mine cage in the morning and leave it open so he can go in and when he wants it every day unless I'm leaving. I talk to him all the time and ask more if you start shouting attention or something, and I try to pet and treat it as possible. I put in a cage at the end of the day no matter what time I go to bed, even if you're sleeping on top of the cage or something to wake gently and send him to his cage. Not far out of the cage but also have a toy up there for him to climb and play on it and have lunch there. He is trying to fly a little now to come up to me when it does, it's fun and worth the time and energy it takes, even if you do not have time to not be happy. Moreover, the younger you get the best, mine was almost a year old when I got it and that is part of the reason that slide everywhere not receiving much attention when I was at the pet shop you bought it from, so it's cage shy. I do not travel much, but when I do I will have my brothers to come every day and left him for an hour and give it fresh food and water.
