Iverlux (air sac mites / scaly face treatment?
My Finches Ladygouldian have mites, so applied to the back Iverlux his neck, (as stated on the bottle) Although we have applied more than a drop. Immediately after, they began to scratch his neck, it is known that after the product? or what? We are not entirely positive that our birds have mites AIR SAC. It's just our theory. They have a flaky beak Tho, and bite the Most of the time.
If your finches have trouble breathing, then most likely the air sac mites. I did some research on the Iverlux, and one drop is too much to give the finch. Please read this link, it says it only uses 1 / 3 of a drop in the chaffinch, due to its weight: http://www.finches.org/f-airsacmites.mgi I would not feel comfortable treating myself finches, unless supervised by a veterinarian for birds. Sounds like you're giving finches too medication at a time. That might be the reason for the itching. I advise you to discuss your problem with a veterinarian. The finches also could be due to the very dry itchy skin. Having a humidifier in the room of finches would help provide them the moisture they need for healthy skin.
